For leaders, organizations and communities bringing people together to create meaningful change.
Let’s have a conversationExplore ways to work together
Big-picture thinking.
Grounded in real life.
Sometimes working together looks like one thoughtfully designed group session.
Sometimes it means bringing people with different perspectives together around a question that nobody can solve alone.
And sometimes the work needs someone who can get in there and help carry it forward through a season of transformation or change.
Here are some of the ways I work with organizations, leaders and communities.
Every engagement is designed around what your group is actually navigating, whether you’re in the same room or working across teams and geographies.
You don’t need to hand me the project for me to be useful. I can work alongside the people already responsible for it, helping them think through what scaling actually requires.
I’m especially useful when there’s no obvious answer yet, and the process of figuring it out matters almost as much as the thing you eventually build.
For a defined period or initiative, I can work alongside your organization as a senior strategic partner, especially when you don’t yet have the internal role, capacity or clarity you need.
You don’t need a perfectly defined scope. We can figure it out together.

Sydney has a deep understanding of how to navigate complex, high-priority work. She brings both big-picture thinking and a practical approach, ensuring that strategic priorities translate into clear, actionable outcomes that remain grounded in mission, values, and long-term growth.
I would highly recommend Sydney for strategic planning and practical implementation, complex facilitation, and work that requires clarity, structure, and forward momentum.
Sydney was a strategic partner in helping the Foundation think bigger about what was possible. She has a unique ability to connect ideas, people, and perspectives, bringing together on-the-ground experience with the language and frameworks of social innovation. Her approach is both evidence-based and holistic, bringing rigor while helping us see and understand the work through different lenses.
Our work together involved navigating the complex political landscape that exists between non-Indigenous and Indigenous service providers and representative bodies. Through her open and genuine demeanor, she was able to gain trust of stakeholders who are often loathe to work with those they perceive as outsiders - myself included. With her competence and consistency, she was able to keep that trust.
My non-profit was tasked by the federal government to replicate a program across Canada that we had successfully implemented in our region. We contracted Sydney to provide us with mentoring and guidance through this process. Working with Sydney was a pleasure. She was responsive, engaged and knowledgeable. Sydney consistently went above and beyond to assist us in our project and was always brimming with innovative ideas and new approaches to difficult situations.
Sydney is a remarkable relationship builder and facilitator, who is able to create deep trust and safety through her open, genuine, and thoughtful approach and communication style. I would highly recommend her to community leaders, executives, and people managers looking to further develop their intuition and leadership abilities or organizations looking for a skilled consultant to support with designing, scaling or implementing strategic projects.
Sydney is an innovator and visionary who takes ideas and turns them into impactful, life-changing opportunities for people. She possesses impeccable instincts that coupled with her benevolent approach ensures collaborations and partnerships are fostered and nurtured for the betterment of all. As a result of Sydney’s determination, mentorship, and focus, my community is now successfully assisting single, women-led families tackle poverty by providing housing options, skills development, educational opportunities and employment.
I have enjoyed working with Sydney over the last 3 years during the time that the Foundation has been funding the feasibility study of adapting the Homeward Bound program to an Indigenous context. Sydney’s ability to work collaboratively and make cross-cultural connections has meant the project moved quickly beyond the idea of a study and into action; at the outset, we would have considered one or two Friendship Centres adapting the program model as a success; the fact that seven Friendship Centers are now doing so speaks volumes to the trust and relationship that have been built.

A little about me
The longer I do this work, the less interested I am in pretending that strategy happens separately from people.
For almost two decades, my work has centred around people, possibility and change.
I’ve spent much of my career alongside people trying to create something that does not exist yet.
I believe how we participate matters. Who gets to shape an idea matters. Relationships and context matter. And the people closest to an issue often know things that cannot be found in a framework or strategic plan.
Sometimes that has meant helping shift systems, structures or ways of working that aren’t working for whatever reason. Other times it has meant helping bring an ambitious idea to life inside the realities of organizations, communities and people’s actual lives.
I’m a strategist and facilitator who is as interested in inner leadership as I am in organizational and systems change.
For me, those things have never really been separate. We bring who we are into the rooms we lead, the decisions we make, the relationships we build and the systems we create.
Much of my work is about helping create the conditions where people can see more clearly, participate more fully and find a good way forward together.
I’m also a mother of two young kids, a wife, a human to a wild rescue pup, a friend, and increasingly, someone making more room for writing and sharing the ideas underneath my work.
Alongside my organizational work, I offer spaces for individuals and groups to explore intuition, self-trust and how we live and lead.
Intuitive, reflective and practical support as you navigate decisions, transitions, work, family and whatever is asking for your attention.
A monthly virtual practice to reflect, reconnect and enter the month ahead with greater intention. Private sessions are also available for teams and groups.
A three-month small-group practice for women exploring intuition, self-trust and our own ways of knowing.
Let’s find a way forward
Bring the question, the idea, the thing you’re navigating.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Land acknowledgement
I live and work in Collingwood, Ontario, within the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation.
The work of inner leadership and stepping into wholeness begins with remembering the lands, waters, and human histories that hold us. I honour the First Nations and Indigenous Peoples who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial. From this remembering, we are called to act with more humility, responsibility, care, and commitment to reconciliation and repair.
